eWeek Creates Firefox FUD

Yes, it looks like even the folks over at eWeek are trying to spread the fear, uncertainty and doubt about Firefox 2 RC2 with their latest article titled, “Firefox 2.0 RC2 Is a Step… Backwards?“. Now with a title like that, you would expect to hear they took out tabbed browsing, or the new styled RSS feeds. Actually, I wouldn't call this as FUD... but a classic example of an overly sensationalized headline.

But I am glad I read the article... the find feature is something that I use dozens (or more) times a day - everyday. And I also don't think it is right to remove an option to allow users to control how cookies are handled - the majority of users never modify this setting, but many do.

If these changes make it into the final version of Firefox 2, I won't be upgrading and will also quit recommending Firefox to my friends and clients.
