SearchLoad Options

Want to tweak how Firefox’s default search options react to you in the browser? The SearchLoad Options extension should do the trick then.

Options include clearing the searchbar and resetting the search engine after each search. A time delay can be set in order to reuse search strings or search engines before changing the state of the searchbar.

Search results can be loaded into the active tab, a new tab, or a new background tab. An option allows new tabs to be created regardless of whether the current tab is blank. New tabs can also be created by using the Alt key.

eBay Feedback Tool

Need another eBay helper? Feedbackfox helps you find out a little more information about that guy who owns the Gumby blow up doll that you have been searching for since your childhood.

A sidebar integrated feedback filter for ebay users. Input a user name and get a colored list with up to 5000 feedback comments (by enter button ‘GO!’) or alternatively get only the positive, neutral, negative or withdrawn feedback. In this case Feedbackfox gets all comments that are available for the last 12 months.

The folks over at Lifehacker have put out a nice article about the extension for Firefox known as About This Site. They cover this little beauty from head to toe and let you know why you may or may not be interested in using it.

Backup Your Bookmarks

Google Utilities

Do you want a Firefox extension that gives you quick and easy access to all of Google’s services? When you look at things like Google’s word processor and RSS reader, you begin to think of these things as applications more than Web sites. The GUtil! Extension treats them as an extended arm of the browser.

After you install this extension it adds a new menu item just for Google and all the products they have out in the market today.

If you are a big Google fan, this could be the best way for you to get into each service you know and love. Horrible name for an extension, but it does get the job done.

Yuku Firefox Tool

The Yuku service is pitching itself has being message boards for the Web 2.0 world. Do they live up to that hype? Not really sure. They seem popular, but that is not the business I am in. They do have a mighty nice Firefox extension though.

The Yuku Firefox Extension is an add-on that alerts Firefox users with the latest updates on their Yuku profiles! Get notified when you receive a New Message, a New Comment and when you recieve a New Friend Request!

This extension also claims to make it easy to switch between profiles and navigate the Yuku Web site with quick navigation links. Sounds good to me, what do you think?

Stealing Content is Bad

I got to go through the fun of getting a splog shut down this weekend because they were copying every post made here on Firefox Facts almost word for word and post for post.

I know a lot of folks have a problem with getting this done – so I have posted what I went through to get it done on my own personal blog (no splogging there!) to hopefully help others in need.
