2nd Look at Better GReader

Better GReader = A+ ExtentionI have gotten a few e-mails lately wanting me to give Better GReader a second look. Maybe I didn’t give off enough of an ecstatic glow with my last look, but this time I promise to do better!

For those of you who are not familiar with the idea, Gina at Lifehacker is a master at rolling up a lot of great Greasemonkey hacks into one big extension for Firefox adding form, functionality and style to various Google services.

Here are some of the Greasemonkey Google Reader scripts that got rolled up into Better GReader:

I always look forward to seeing what they do with their “Better” Firefox series of extensions at Lifehacker and this one is no different. Pick it up for yourself and let me know what you like or don’t like about it.

I really appreciate all the good work the folks at LH do, and I really like these “Better ___” (fill in the blank) firefox extensions, tho I don’t have any of them installed. The simple fact is they’re too bloated, so I prefer to review the lists of their contents (Thank you LH, for doing the legwork of finding all the best greasemonkey scripts) and install just those userscripts that I want to use. I know you can disable those scripts you don’t want, but this way I don’t have the extra bulk of scripts I’m not interested in stretching out my FF launch time.

Yeah for a lot of it, you can just use it as a list of good scripts to use. For people that are scared of Greasemonkey though I think this makes a good choice to use.

My Preview functionality has stopped working in my browser at work. It still works in my browser at work, so I know it must be something with my computer — but I don’t even know where to start. Can you help? FF 2.0.0.13, Better GReader 0.2.2. I’ve tried contacting Gina but haven’t gotten a response…
