Firefox 2.0.0.14 started behaving oddly. So I uninstalled it, searched my computer for all firefox files, erased them, then reinstalled firefox( without the much missed Mcafee Site Advisor). Your article helped me to find my old bookmarks.

This is good cos I got back my bookmarks. It is weird though, cos my search and erase of all *firefox* files was not as clean as I thought. I am no geek, so would appreciate if a good geek could explain what went wrong with my search and erase procedure.

Why worry about backup bookmarks while you can use Google Bookmarks to organize, tag and store your bookmarks online and access it wherever and whenever you needed.
