It basically creates a searchable library. It does a lot more than save web pages, so it may be more than what some are looking for, but it doesn't really have a rival in this regard. You can add tags, notes, attachments, take a "snapshot" of a whole page, etc., for any entry. I have found Zotero an incredibly helpful tool for saving and organizing web pages.
