Well I have finally switched over to using Firefox 3 - RC1 and found this warning very amusing…
Now I just wonder how many people will really think Firefox has a warranty? :)

There are others, like when you enter a site with an expired certificate there is a button saying “Get me out of here!”
Not to mention the about:robots page
hehehe
The people who think Firefox has a warranty are exactly the people you don’t want messing with about:config so I thought it was brilliant as well as damned funny :-)
It’s entertaining, yes, but I prefer the “Here be dragons” warning I heard about from the beta.
At first, for a split second, I thought it was trying to tell me that messing with the config could mess up my computer itself, thus voiding the warranty. I immediatley jumped from that assumption to “no, stupid, it’s just a joke.”
But I’ve seen other people seriously asking around online about whether using about:config would really void the warrenty on their system.
Maybe a different, yet still funny, message would cause less confusion.
