I tend to use Ctrl + T to open a new tab, but this command will delete a bookmark on the Firefox toolbar. There, for example, to open a bookmark in a new tab for a favorite website, you must use Ctrl + W (which elsewhere in Firefox is used for closing a tab).

Why can't these commands be consistent? I am reluctant to change commands on my own PC since I often use Firefox on other machines.

Handy basic information there, though I'd like to learn how to make a new folder with the push of a button like in xplorer2's F8 key.
