Vixpa Theme Has Vista Style is XP Feeling

The Vixpa theme for Firefox is an attempt to refresh the Windows XP-style icons with the more polished Windows Vista feeling.  Your not getting the same old icons though.  All icons have been redrawn from the ground up, with a few original icons to replace those of XP’s.

Here you have Vixpa with the normal sized icons:

Here you have Vixpa with the small sized icons:

Well worth checking out if you are missing that old Windows XP look and feel.  You can download the Vixpa theme over at the Firefox Add-ons web site.

Oh, I forgot. What’s with all of the Vista ‘glitz’ or ‘bling’? I use Windows classic theme. (And I’m still with Firefox 2…)

When you think of it, this theme might prove quite popular, considering all those poor souls using a failing operating system… Vista. Perhaps the Vixpa theme will remind them of the good old days before Microsoft went overboard.

This is acquiring a bit a lot more subjective, but I very much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has a lot more flair, and some cool functions like ‘Mixview’ that let you speedily see related albums, songs, or other users connected to what you’re listening to. Clicking on a single of individuals will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will arrive into view, allowing you to navigate close to exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” can be fantastic enjoyable, letting you find other people with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which can also be enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know it is possible to prevent the public from seeing your individual listening habits in the event you so choose.
