I threw together these add-ons, plus a few more I found to complete the Firefox-as-Chrome charade, to make a single XPI that will almost instantly turn your Firefox into Chrome. I'm way proud of it, check it out:

Mostly good article, but I disagree with 2 things, the speed of the browser is good but the speed of switching tabs is shocking compared to any other browser. Also the switching is more difficult than you make out without the key feature of a home button which many users base lots of browsing around.

Chrome is superb.
Some things i noticed were that firstly, its address bar also works as a search bar and on right clicking it, it also allows to select a particular search engine and secondly, the javascript and feeds are not working properly. Wel, switching to a new browser had never been so easy.

It's more like the "CyberSearch" extension (experimental), which searches while you are typing and adds to the suggestions. Cybersearch also implements the search keywords.
However, I think the most important features of Chrome are the security (Sandbox), Multithread and process isolation, V8 (similar will come to Firefox), and the low memory and resource footprint. That makes it great for home users like my mom and my wife, while technical guys prefer the extensibility of Firefox.

Well, you can search about:config for keyword.URL. Once you have found it there, modify the string in there and replace it with:

http://www.google.com/search?btnG=Google+Search&q=

Then, when you type in keywords into Firefox, it will search Google for them instead of giving you the "I'm Feeling Lucky" result. Hope that helps!

What about the ability to search Google from the address bar? I believe this was a Mozilla feature and I'd really like it back.
