I think its awesome. No need for search bar and you can control the behavior with nifty options.

I like omnibar. Most of all, I like the ability to specify search engines (and multiples of them) in a simple way. It provides a lot of tweaking options for individual customizations, though I found the defaults to work the best for me. I have removed the dedicated search box, and I don’t miss it at all.

I prefer Peers (http://www.peersbros.com/) which can also show the search results in the AwesomeBar.
