How Have You Customized Firefox?

Give me your Firefox screenshots!

One of the best things about Firefox is that we can customize it to no end, and thus far – no other browser on the market has been able to stack up with that fact.  So I am curious, how have you customized Firefox to fit your needs?  How have you organized your toolbars and icons?

I’ll start things off by showing you my current browser setup:

mitch-firefox

As you can see I like to keep it pretty simple, and I am rocking the Chromiefox theme right now.  Send me your Firefox screenshots (to mitch@mitchkeeler.com), or post a link here in the comments to them.  If anything else, we might pick up a few customization tips from one another.  I’ll save the best for a round up for a later date and time.

Timing couldn’t be better: I spent today fiddling with FF, too. ^_^

Kaitlin, your tabs on the bottom look great! Never really thought of that.

The sidebar is usually hidden. So there’s enough space for content :D I don’t need the search bar because I use smart keywords.

Here you go. A couple of screenshots specially made for this page. My setup focuses on only showing things when relevant, so you’ll have to see both of them to get a proper idea of how it works.

I’ve also used the “Organize Statusbar” and “Menu Editor” extensions to clean away the cruft added by a good few extensions. As such, they’re only visible in the context menu and only when they’re actually useful. (not worth the effort to screenshot all possible combinations)

I use the bookmarks toolbar and bookmarklets extensively to personalize my Firefox experience. I love finding out what extensions other users have. :-)

Oh, and here’s a shot of my full screen - so you can see my sidebar in action, as well as my statusbar!
