Well, I put out the request to one and all to see what you have done to customize Firefox, and I got tons of responses. It is always interesting to see how others are using Firefox to fit their needs – and how creative people get when it comes to moving around the basic toolbars and general interface of the browser.
Here are the best of the bunch! Thanks to everybody who submitted!

What have you done to make Firefox better for your own needs? If you have any customization tips to share, we would all love to hear them.

Hello,
It’s good to see mine up there! (second to last image), I like to be very minimalist ^_^
I’ve been mostly a lurker on this site until now (I check everyday) :D

yes! i made it!
mine is the 2nd darkest one, i.e.: third from bottom.
any1 have a suggestion on how to edit stumbleupon’s chrome to remove the ugly dotted dividers?
any1 know how to remove the “list all tabs” button via userchrome.css ?
You know you’re a geek when:
1) You post your FF configuration to a blog, and
2) When it’s posted a few days later, it’s out of date. ^_^
@Khalil: The Tab Mix Plus extension has that option. Otherwise, the following might work:
.tabs-alltabs-button { display: none !important; }
Since we’re on the topic of editing userChrome.css, one of you might be able to help me. I’ve managed to hide the labels on my bookmarks toolbar favicons, but I can’t seem to manage to get the labels WITHIN the folder on the toolbar to hide. I don’t suppose anybody has any ideas?
@myself: Nevermind; I figured it out!
@Khalil: Try adding this–
#su_separator, #su_separator2, #su_separator3, #su_separator4, #su_separator5, #su_separator6 { display: none !important; }
Mine’s the last one there. I like to make maximum use of my screen real estate.
@Kaitlin: Yep, I managed to blow mine away just a few days later.
i’m really curious to know how Gavin (sixth to last screenshot, link to pix: http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/gmkeeler/firefox%20screenshots/?action=view¤t=gavinFirefox.png) place buttons on the top bar (where the title of the page is)? i wasn’t aware that anything could be placed there.
someone pls let me know if this is possible, i would love to conserve more screen real estate! thks!
never mind, i just peered at the pix closer and realised it’s a windows shortcuts toolbar and not part of firefox. darn, got me all excited about it…. :)
It’s good to see mine up there! Mine’s the last one there.
beautiful toolbars!
