It looks awesome.

Here's my take: it def. looks fresher, more in tune with the luminious bright Vista icons and OS X Leopard. The tail not totally covering Planet Mozilla thing is starting to grow on me... and I'm glad the cheesy gloss is gone, though a distracting blob is hovering over the arctic circle...

I bet the makers were inspired by other fan-logos, such as Everaldo's Crystal one: http://everaldo.com/br/blog/wp-content/uploads/...

It looks actually worse than the previous one as the sections around the head have been made darker and the cute lock of hair which was on the fox' head has been removed.

Truth to be told, I never liked the Firefox logo as one can never see the eyes of the fox and the general shape reminds me of an animal embryo.

What's the difference? This looks exactly like the old one. My photoshop eyes are young and inexperienced.
