Format Pages for Printing

Print Edit Customizes Page Printing

Need a better tool to help you format webpages, before you print them?  Print Edit, a Firefox add-on, makes this really easy. If your stuck on a website that does not offer a "printer friendly" version of the document you need a hard copy of – give this excellent extension a download.

After hooking into your Firefox print preview screen, Print Edit lets you compact the layout and remove unwanted content such as sidebars, blank spaces and adverts. Just about any element on a page can be formatted, hidden or deleted as you see fit to do so.

Here is a little more about the add-on from the developer:

Print Edit mode is entered from Print Preview mode by clicking on the Edit button next to the Close button on the toolbar. Alternatively, Print Edit mode can be entered from the Print Edit button menu on the main toolbar, or from the Print submenu on the context menu (after right-clicking the web page). The Print Edit button can be added to the main toolbar by right-clicking the toolbar and selecting Customize.

The Print Edit add-on gives the browser user a lot of flexibility when it comes to printing out online documents. It saves time, and I really could not find a single flaw with the execution of this excellent idea.  You can pick up Print Edit from the Firefox Add-ons website.
