List All Open Tabs in Awesome Bar

imageNeed a quick way to open up all the tabs you have open in Firefox? As you may have already noticed – Firefox 4 has a pretty nifty "Switch to Tab" function that allows you to switch to an open tab, rather than re-launching the same website twice.  What if you could open up all the open tabs in the Awesome bar?

You can do it!  All you need to do is type in % into the Awesome bar.

As you can see in the picture to your right, this is a great way to quickly jump to any tab you currently have open in Firefox.

Hope this quick navigational tip for Firefox 4 helps you out!

Thanks for this info … I didn’t know about the “switch to” tab OR the % function. The problem with so many of these tricks is that, unless I tend to use them a lot, I forget they exist!

By the way, I’ve subscribed to your feed and really have learned a lot. One tip: don’t assume we know stuff. I didn’t even know they called it an “awesome bar” (how corny of them!)

The less is more crowd probably likes, really likes, this hot letter solution. Me? I like easy to click buttons, like the Show All Tabs button. I continue to be infuriated with this Chrome-aping idea of typing in letters in the URL whatever to create functionality that used to be the province of a stand alone button. Vive la difference … and the reason I’m going to use FF 3.6 to the bitter end.

The Show All Tabs button is still there in v4 Gary. Or at least it’s still in mine.

I agree with Gary M. I like buttons a whole lot better than this awesome bar shortcut stuff.
