Disable New Tab Page’s Thumbnail Capture

Hide Firefox New Tab HistoryTired of Firefox’s new tab page reveling what you are looking at?  With the holiday season upon us and with more and more people shopping online, that is reasonable. You can disable this feature though. That way you can keep your browsing history a secret!

Here are the things you need to do:

All you need to do is visit about:config page in Firefox bar and create Boolean preference  browser.pagethumbnails.capturing_disabled and set its value to true.

After inputting this, no new thumbnails will be created – you can still remove any existing thumbnails by clearing the browser history.

Big thanks to TechDows.com for reveling this little browser trick to the rest of the world.  Happy browsing and Merry (yet, be it early) Christmas!

I have just opposite problem: Firefox draws only 2 of 9 thumbnails.
