Being able to add any search box to Firefox’s built in searching tools would be great, right? Well, you can get this done with the Add to Search Bar add-on for Firefox. This handy add-on for the browser will let you right click on any search box in any website and add it to the choice of search engines in the top-right corner of Firefox.
Even the developer of the extension keeps it short and simple in this nice description for this very handy Firefox add-on.
Just make a right click (Ctrl+click on a Mac) with the mouse pointer on top of *the page’s* search box and choose “Add to Search Bar…”
This is definitely a feature I’d like to see Mozilla support for the browser as a native function, but until then we have this great browser add-on to do the job for us. Want to give it a shot? You can download it from the Firefox Add-ons website.

Tried it with NZB.cc and didn’t work. Too bad.
Aww, that sucks – sorry to hear that.
Instead of Mozilla implementing some controversial heuristic algorithms of detecting search boxes on non-HTML5 websites, web developers might just consider to be smarter and add to their websites OpenSearch functionality.

Totally agree!
