Nostalgic for Netscape?

Netscape Theme for FirefoxIt makes me sad that my soon to be step son will live without ever knowing what Netscape was.  If you are feeling nostalgic for the classic browser, you can pick up the N2Scape theme for Firefox.

So what was Netscape? Let us turn to Wikipedia:

Netscape Navigator was a proprietary web browser. It was the flagship product of the Netscape Communications Corporation and was the dominant web browser in terms of usage share in the 1990s, although by 2002 its usage had almost disappeared. This was primarily due to the increased usage of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser software, and partly because the Netscape Corporation (later purchased by AOL) did not sustain Netscape Navigator’s technical innovation after the late 1990s

Want to give this theme a shot? You can download it from the Firefox Add-ons website.

    Ah! Those Netscape days!
The UIs kinda archaic by today’s standards, but a classic nonetheless!
Currently using “Early Blue” which reflects the early days of Mozilla M4 to M8
    on SeaMonkey.

    Off to get N2Scape now = )
