Firefox Doing Away With Themes?

Personas Are Now Themes?

I spend a lot of time on the Firefox Add-ons website. I enjoy looking for new themes and extensions to share with all of you.  However, I have noticed over the past couple of weeks – it seems like they have done some reorganizing of their content.

It appears Personas (what used to be known as Personas at least) are the new thing you see when you look for Firefox themes.  Then, they have bumped the older more complete themes (where buttons and everything else gets changed) to a new “Complete Themes” page.

Do you like this change? Let me know in the comments – would love to hear your opinions on this topic!

I NEVER use Themes. My desktop is black.

I blame the snowballing downfall of all serious Firefox theme development with the introduction of PimpZilla :D

Hah, yep – miss the good ol’ days when there were a lot of great theme developers, now it just seems like there are a handful of original ones.

Since Mozilla doesn’t seem to have a clue how ugly Firefox is, we need to have themes to make up for it. I hate the Personas. They put images behind the toolbars and that makes their text hard to read.

      Yep, I totally agree.
