Make Google Better With Greasemonkey

Sure we all love Google.com, but wouldn’t it be better with a tweak here and there?

+ Google Redesign

+ Google Thumbnails
This adds screenshot thumbnails to google search results.

+ Google Results Counter
This script adds an ordinal number at the left side of each search result on Google results pages.

To use any of these useful scripts, you will have to have the Greasemonkey Firefox extension installed.

Throbber Button

We have all seen the Firefox throbber button, but how many of us actually use it for anything? The only time I use it is when I accidently click on it. You know, that whole 4 seconds or so you have to wait before the “Install Now” shows up. Well, here is a fix for all the folks who don’t like to waste the time waiting.

MR Tech Disable XPI Install Delay extension will eliminate that waiting period and allow you to click “Install Now” immediately. Just install the extension and save yourself some time. How much time will you save by getting rid of the 5-second delay? Let’s put it into perspective.

Making MySpace Usable with Firefox

You know and I know it, MySpace is ugly as hell and filled with a lot of ugly Web pages. Even the basic design of MySpace is down right unusable at times. So why use it? Well, everybody and their grandmother is on there, so it is still a good way to stay in touch with folks. So you don’t want it to be ugly and unusable, but you do want to use the service. What is a guy to do?

Make Firefox Load Faster

Feeling like you are missing a few seconds when it comes to Firefox’s startup time? If so, you might want to take a look at the Firefox Preloader. It does exactly as you would think. Firefox Preloader is a utility that is designed to load parts of Mozilla Firefox into memory before it is used to improve the its startup time. Thanks to Daniel for submitting this one in to me.
