Using Tumblr to share things with family, friends and people you know on the web? It is a great blogging service that lets you make your posts as complicated or as simple as you would like. With the tools they provide, you can easily post text, photos, a quote, video or links. If you grab the Tumblr add-on for Firefox, you can share all these great things with your friends even faster.
You have read my thoughts and opinions on Firefox and everything related to Firefox – so why not join me in sharing the word about how awesome this little browser really is. Starting today, I am going to start accepting guest posts here on Firefox Facts. So, if you have your own Firefox tutorial, add-on review or anything else Mozilla related that you’d like to share with the over 75,000 visitors that come to FirefoxFacts.com monthly – here is your chance.
Today is a special day, because it marks the 4 year anniversary of the start of Firefox Facts. Starting 4 years ago as a spin-off project related to the e-book and Firefox articles I had been writing for Lockergnome, Firefox Facts has expanded by leaps and bounds, and thankfully has drawn in a fan following of it’s own over the years.
I won’t go on and on about it though. I just wanted to mark this special occasion and thank you for making this web site the success that it is today. As long as you keep reading, I promise to keep pumping out as much content as I can to all my projects, including Mitchelaneous and the Web Hosting Show too. Want to give Firefox Facts a birthday present?
Go share the RSS feed with a friend, family member or your own cult following.
This year for Christmas, I am doing things a little differently. Instead of actually getting presents for the thousands of readers we have coming in here daily (or my favorite 5,000 or so that subscribe to the free RSS feed). I wanted to give you the gift of two of my other projects you may or may not know about.
This is my blog filled with geek candy. More personal and of the wall in nature, this is my personal spot to rant and rave about any miscellaneous thing that might cross my mind. From web development help to custom desktop icons – I am sure there is something for everybody to enjoy here.

Thanks to one and all for making Firefox Facts one of the most popular Firefox blogs out there in the world today. Hope you all have a happy holiday, and I promise to keep delivering you the best of the Firefox world day after day.
Want to just blog it? There is a neat new Firefox addon that you might be interested in. The addon, rightfully named JustBlogIt lets you blog from Firefox using a plethora of different blogging methods. The promise here is to blog anything from Firefox’s right-click context menu.
Which blogging scripts and services are supported?
Blogger, Drupal, LiveJournal, Movable Type, Radio Userland, TextPattern, TypePad, WordPress, journalspace, b2evolution and BLOG:CMS and more!
Digging through my archived posts I knew I had written something about ScribeFire before, but could not find it. How could I overlook one of the best blogging tools for Firefox? ScribeFire, which used to be known as Performancing for Firefox) is the hands down best blog editor that turns Firefox into a publishing machine.
To get started, all you need to do is download the addon from the Mozilla web site, restart Firefox and then launch ScribeFire by clicking on the orange task bar icon or right clicking on any web site and selecting “blog this page” from the ScribeFire menu item.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Hope you are all enjoying your time installing Firefox on the in-law’s PC. Just wanted to take a ‘bit of time to thank you all for reading day after day here on FirefoxFacts.com and wish you the best for the new year.
If you want, feel free to check out some of my other projects while your playing with new presents or enjoying seconds of that dressing. Download a few podcasts from the Web Hosting Show. It’s a weekly podcast on and about the web development and web hosting worlds. If you need a little more Mitch, with a little less Firefox – check out Mitchelaneous. It’s my general “blog about anything” place with tons of life lessons right from me to you. One post you might be interested in over there right this second would be the Ultimate List of Free Image Hosts (42+).
Feedback is always welcomed and needed here for Firefox Facts too, so if you want to see something or want to give your thoughts on my work here please feel free to drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop in a fresh comment.
Here’s to a happy Firefox using new year as well.
WordPress.com makes for a great publishing platform.
Some folks out there have e-mailed me and asked for an easier way to post to it. Well, after doing some searching I ran across an extension that will let you blog from your sidebar in Firefox.
The WordPress.com Sidebar extension puts a button in your browser that allows you to click it and open up an editor on the sidebar where you can get your posting done.
Now spending a lot of time talking about things that are not related to Firefox or browsing here just seems like it is a little silly. Just give me five minutes though of your time (or less) and I promise you will feel the effort was worth it.
I just re-launched an older project of mine, HostingHoopla.com. From this point on my hope is this will be “the” list people come to, to find out some of the best news, resources, help, and more on and about the web development and web hosting worlds most of us have to deal with on a daily basis.
Of course you can subscribe via the RSS feed or even get daily e-mail updates. Don’t forget the mobile device friendly version of the Hosting Hoopla link list as well. Many ways to take in the hosting goodness.
So if your a web hosting or web development junkie like me, come check it out and let me know what you think, what you would like to see and more.
