Want to be able to comment on any web site out there on the Web, without the permission of the web site in question? Reframe It opens up a new portal of communication, by allowing you to communicate through specific comments next to the web site you are referencing.

Why just send a simple text-based note, when you can send that and the web site you are talking about all in one swift, easy to access movement? Here is the extension in action:

It also supports sharing via Facebook, Twitter, RSS, HTML, and direct email so you can quickly share your comments.

Reframe It allows you to simple say what you want to where you want to. This extension would be perfect (as an example) if you were working on a web site re-design, and wanted to show your boss the areas you wanted to work on. Another example, would be citing research, when working on an article.

You can learn more about Reframe It via the Reframeit.com web site and pick up the Firefox add-on for the service on the Firefox Add-ons site.

Security Zone Policy Errors – This seems to be more of a problem than most people realize. From this one blog post, I see people coming in every day having issues with it. So, should Firefox be relying on Windows security settings for downloading applications and other potentially unsafe files from the Internet?

Descriptions for Bookmarks – Have you ever right-clicked a bookmark, Went down to properties and typed in a description about a page you had saved? No, I haven’t either – so this might be another Firefox feature ready for the junk yard. Name, Location, and Keyword is good enough for me.

Now it is your turn, what Firefox feature could you live without?

Running the latest version of Firefox is a huge drag — repeated freezes that require a forced shutdown of the application on my MacBook Pro. Growing pains for the Mozilla folks or just sloppy coding?

That’s it. Now why go Online, post a totally random comment and not back it up with any proof? Now, I have never used Firefox on any Apple product, but these sort of cheap shots just make me a little angry. If this is “citizen media” I think I favor the older kind best. ;)
