Cover Firefox in Black Steel

Want to coat your favorite browser in Black Steel? The Black Steel theme for Firefox might not exactly be my cup of tea, however it does have a simplistic dark appeal that I am sure many will love.  If your searching for a black theme, it is one of the best looking ones of the bunch too.

Black Steel for Firefox

The entire theme is very sleek and polished feeling.  One feature that it provides that many other dark themes are lacking is that it is still easy to read the menus and other text inside the browser too, without having to slowly inch your face towards your monitor.

You can pick up the Black Steel theme over on the Firefox Add-ons site.

LumiNight Theme for Firefox

While browsing through some of the experimental themes, I happened to run across another one of the best dark themes I have seen in a while.  LumiNight has a very eye appealing look and feeling to it, as you can see here bellow.

LumiNight Theme for Firefox

Here is a little more from the developer:

The goal of LumiNight is to be modern & dark, with icons that can be understood easily at a glance. I went into it trying to avoid gloss-overkill and shiny orbs. This theme tries to be as straight-forward as possible, while appealing to those that like a darker theme.

This theme is brought to us by the same great designer who brought us the MushroomKingdom theme from a few weeks ago.  Personally, I hope they keep up the great work!  You can pick it up on the Firefox Add-ons site.  Now the only question I have though is when will we see LumiDay?

ANTHEM for Firefox – Oh Say Can Firefox See?

I enjoy the dark and original Firefox themes the most, so this one has just tickled my fancy all over the place.  The new ANTHEM theme for Firefox is unique, classy and fun to use.  It isn’t that often we get to see themes like this:

Anthem Theme for Firefox

Here is a little more about the theme from the developer:

ANTHEM is a fun little side project I recently started. It was inspired by my blog layout and the popular “dark” look that has taken over in the past few years. The icons are 100% original. However, some windows still use the original theme buttons.

Using Windows here, there are a few features that are a little buggy it seems – but I this is a great start to a very nice looking theme for Firefox.

You can check out the author’s official site and then pick the theme up from the Firefox Add-ons repository.  Also, for more dark theme selections, go check out the list of the most popular dark Firefox themes.

Mattahan Delivers a Different Firefox

The Mattahan theme for Firefox is in one word, different.  The very unique icons of Mattahan mixed with the browsing capabilities of (and overall awesomeness) Firefox make for an excellent mix-match of style and substance.

The Secret of a Good Dark Theme for Firefox

heavencube I have said before, there are not many dark Firefox themes that I like that much.  Maybe I’m just too happy to enjoy the lights being turned out in the browser.  Heaven.Cube, a new theme for Firefox 3, might change my mind.  It has style.  It has darkness.  Best of all, (here is the secret!) it is very unique.

After using it for a while, you’ll get the feeling that your browser is almost glowing.  All the icons are shinny and bright.  Putting that against the dark background really makes them look good.  As far as what I’d like to see in the future, I could see all kinds of various colors being released (personally, I’d like to see a dark green and black one).

Gmail Redesigned?

With a little help from the Stylish Firefox extension and a few create people, you can give just about any web site a new look – even Gmail. You have to admit, after years and years of pretty much looking at the same interface, don’t your eyeballs deserve to gaze at something new? One of the newest unique Gmail themes for the Stylish addon I have seen is Gmail Redesigned.

New Gmail Design?

Admittedly the author says it is still a work in progress and “in development” but already I have to say it is a unique look if nothing else. The black background for the contacts section kind of bugs me – but the rest is looking pretty slick. You can pick up this user style for Stylish over at UserStyles.org.

MidnightFoxy – Dark Firefox Theme

I haven’t been one to give darker themes for Firefox much love, but MidnightFoxy might be the theme that brings me over to that “dark side” that so many seem to love.

Midnight Foxy

As you can see, it is another TwisterMc masterpiece that I am sure many of the Firefox Facts fans (say that 10 times fast) will enjoy. It is currently in the Mozilla sandbox, so if you don’t have a login there you can pick it up at TwisterMc.com.
