I love any add-on or web site service that helps me organize my day to day life and duties.  Being somewhat of an organizational nut, I do have to say one of my favorite Firefox add-ons out there is ReminderFox.  This add-on for Firefox remembers things, so you don’t have to.

Once installed, you can setup ReminderFox to keep track of all your important dates and events.  It could remember your birthdays, your anniversaries, when your bills are due and so much more.  The possibilities are really endless.  The best thing about it is it is running right from the browser, so there is no need to run a separate calendar application. 

If you are looking for a good way to simplify your to do list, or just remember key dates – ReminderFox is your little personal organizer living in your browser.

To give you a timeline to work with, right now we are at Firefox 3, beta 4.  Firefox 3, beta 5 is expected to be released the first week of April (hopefully not on the 1st!). That should though be the last of the beta releases for Firefox 3.

In May we should be seeing the first release candidate hit the streets, and then most of the work will go into kicking extension developers in the pants to try to get them to officially update their code to work with Firefox 3.

The extension is very simple. It adds a new shortcut (CTRL + ; [semi-colon]) to your browser window that launches a simple text dialog. In the text box you can enter whatever you would in the Google Calendar Quick Add feature and if you hit ENTER it will create the event for you in your default calendar. Remember, you must be logged in for it to work, if not, I’ll remind you anyways. The icing on the cake, is that it will find any Google Calendar window that’s opened and reload it for you so you can see your new appointment.

The Google Calendar Quick Add Firefox Extension is the thing you need to pick up to get the job done.
