Download Your Free Hosting eBook

Now I know some people don’t like my cross promotional ways, but if you enjoyed the Firefox Facts eBook I have another release of mine you might also like to check out.  Just finished up putting together the first (of hopefully many more) web hosting eBooks for you to enjoy.  The Best of the Web Hosting Show Guides is a collection of some of the most popular guides I have posted and talked about here on the Web Hosting Show podcast.

Unlike other eBook deals, you get an extra perk with this setup.  You can download both the digital eBook version, or head over the the official page for it and pick up all five chapters as audio downloads too.  I wanted to give to you the best of both worlds.  The topics covered in the eBook cover all aspects of the web hosting world:

  • Moving from Web Host to Web Host
  • Getting going with your own Ecommerce Store Online
  • How to Find a Job in the Web Hosting Industry
  • Best Methods and Tips for Setting up a New Blog
  • The Ever Popular Handy Guide to Domain Names

Download the PDF and let me know what you think.  Also as far as distribution goes, please feel free to share the link to download it to anybody and everybody you know.  This is a project of mine I have been working on getting together for some time now and I want everybody to know it is free of charge.

Free Greasemonkey Resource

Greasemonkey is one of my favorite extensions to ever come out of the Firefox browser, and it seems to be the first thing I install whenever I am setting up a new installation of our favorite browser. To help with some of the details with Greasemonkey, I have found a neat Web site. All you need to do is read, and then click the page to get something new. Very innovative indeed.

New Firefox Facts Web Site

Come check out FirefoxFacts.com! I have redesigned the layout (mainly due to visitors giving me comments about what they would like to see changed) and I hope I have made everybody happy. As the Web site has grown in popularity – I have added a few things here and there to help folks keep up to date with everything posted here.

Feel free to subscribe to the RSS feed or signup to get daily E-mail reports of everything posted here. Feel like I missed a favorite link, extension or article? Make sure you submit it to me ASAP! Leave a personal link and your name – and I’ll post them as well. (I love giving credit where credit is due)

Also, don’t forget about the Firefox Facts eBook! It is the best free resource on Firefox you can find anywhere on the Internet.

Just a Few More Downloads

Well I am happy to say that we are less than 1,000 downloads away from the Firefox Facts eBook hitting the 20,000 downloads mark. Once again I’d like to thank Lockergnome for setting this whole project into motion for me.

I’d also like to thank each and every one of you for downloading it this many times. So tell your neighbor, tell your family, tell your dog to go download the best free eBook on Mozilla Firefox and lets get that download number even higher!

Dive into Greasemonkey

When you think of free Firefox eBook, I would like to think that your first thought is Firefox Facts. I have found another one for you though, and this one has more to do with Greasemonkey.

Dive Into Greasemonkey is a book about programming with Greasemonkey, a Firefox extension for customizing web pages. Read it online for free.

It seems like lately I have been getting more interested in Greasemonkey scripts, so reading this book should be a lot of fun. Go pick up your own copy or read it online at DiveIntoGreasemonkey.org, or read it right here (check the box bellow).

10,000 Downloads Later

I talked about hitting the milestone before, but now it has happened. The eBook, Firefox Facts has been downloaded over 10,000 times. This just goes to show you that when you put out a quality product and you price it for free, good things will happen. Of course, many thanks go out to Lockergnome and Gada.be. Asa’s mention of the eBook really helped put us over the 10,000 downloads mark, so I want to thank him for that as well.

Get Firefox Facts on Your PSP

Chris Pirillo has just posted about a great PlayStation Portable related program that will let you read eBooks on the little system. As he also mentioned, this is a great way to thumb your way through the Firefox Facts eBook as well. Check out what Chris had to say and pick up the PSP eBook downloads he provided.

Firefox Facts – Free eBook and Web Site!

Ok, so maybe raving about the Web site being free isn’t the big selling point. Firefox Facts is my latest big side project to make it’s debut. What is it? It is both a Web site and an eBook. The majority of the thanks goes to Bob and Chris at Lockergnome.com for creating an eBook out of my ramblings. So what does each side of the project offer?

Firefox Facts (the eBook) gives you over a hundred different Firefox tips and tricks to get you going with the world’s favorite alternative browser. All of them are neatly organized in a PDF file for you to read where you want and when you want. What is the best thing about it? It is totally free!

FirefoxFacts.com is going to become the home for the quick tips, reviews and Firefox news. I’m no stranger to Firefox articles, as I have been writing them for Lockergnome’s Web Developers for some time now. This will become one more outlet to help you get your Firefox fix. Make sure you subscribe to the RSS feed as well.

Leave a comment about the Web site and the eBook and let me know what you want to see.
