As if we all needed another way to backup or sync our bookmarks from computer to computer – there is now a Firefox extension that allows you to do it via Box.net and their free file hosting service.

Here are a few kind words from the creators of the Box.net Bookmark Synchronizer extension:

Backup your bookmarks! Use the Box.net Backup tool to save your favorite bookmarks online or to sync bookmarks between multiple computers.

Does this extension do anything that the others do not? No, not really – but if you have been looking for something to do with that Box.net hosting you have, this might be one way to put it to good use.

Add me on Twitter! Come follow my daily antics, links, tips and more @mitchkeeler on Twitter!

Hikkup is an interesting web site where you can send things out to folks anonymously. It was ment to ask those secret type of questions or make those hidden comments just to kind of get it out of your head and maybe get an opinion or two about it.

Well now they have a Firefox extension that only helps the sharing love.

Have you ever come across something on the Web that you wished you could forward to someone anonymously? Now you can. Just highlight the text, right-click, and choose “Send Anonymously!”. The recipient will get the text, a link, and any comments you add without knowing its you (you can reveal your identity if you want to).

Give it a shot and see what type of fun stuff you can figure out to send or that you can get from others. Might not seem like it would be, but it is slightly addicting and entertaining.

Add me on Twitter! Come follow my daily antics, links, tips and more @mitchkeeler on Twitter!

When it comes to using some of the Online hosting systems out there, sometimes the Web interface just does not cut the case. The Firefox Universal Uploader extension hopes to change that though by giving you a much better interface to work with.

Here is a little more information about the extension:

As the name says, this firefox extension allows you to upload/download files from any website using a friendly interface. Upload files/photos/videos to Flickr, Picasa, Youtube, Box.net(1GB of free space), Facebook, Webshots and OmniDrive in this version. Next versions would support other websites like Google Videos etc. You can add multiple files to the queue at a time. Extension will take care of uploading them for you.

I think the services themselves should be releasing tools like this. I don’t think that will happen though – so until monkeys fly out of a hole somewhere on me – this will have to do.

Add me on Twitter! Come follow my daily antics, links, tips and more @mitchkeeler on Twitter!
