First step would be to install the Stylish add-on for Firefox.  Once you have done that, click on one of the links bellow and add it to your own Firefox installation.

This is not the first Mario-based theme for Firefox.  Do you remember that Super Mario 3 inspired theme?  It did not last long on Mozilla’s site.

With Mozilla’s history with copyrighted material based themes, I have to say it is probably only a matter of time before this one gets taken down – so grab it while you can.  Pickup and the Mario Bros theme at the Firefox Add-ons site.

Aero Fox – All black and blue, kind of like how I ended up after the last Internet Explorer 7 fan club meeting I attended.

NASA Night Launch – Want to shoot off to the stars?  Well you might not be able to go to space yourself, but why should you?  Bring space to you!

Aquatint Black Gloss – Another shinny black and blue theme with icons so glossy I can see myself in them.

PitchDark for Fx – It is so dark, it is pitch dark!  No wait a minute, isn’t that suppose to be pitch black?  Oh no wait a minute, there is the pun.

Just Black – Hey, it is just black – got it?  Nothing more to see here, keep moving along my Firefox flock of followers.

In The Dark – If you want something darker than pitch dark, then you need to go in the dark.  Somebody turned the lights out on my Firefox!

DarkVista – Represent the Microsoft friendly theme the way it was suppose to be done… with the back and forward reminding me more of Darth Vader’s helmet.

Gradient iCool - Hey, iCool… are uCool?  Black and blue again (seeing a repeating fashion here) but just different enough to keep it interesting.

Office 2007 Black - Enjoy the look of Office 2007, but want it black and as a Firefox 3 theme?  For all 6 of you out there – I give you this.

Full Flat Absolute Black – Simple 2-bit icons, black background and yeah, you can’t get any darker than this.

Here are a few of the features AnyColor has to offer:

• Choose your own colors and preview them immediately.
• Select background images for the top and bottom part of the browser’s main window.

The thing that makes this different than your average theme is that it is customizable and can update the browser’s appearance on the fly; no restart is required.  You can download the add-on on the Firefox add-ons site (login required).

How does it look?  Camifox, if I dare to say is a great looking theme in my opinion.  Here is how it looks on Mac, Vista, XP and Linux:

On the positive side, theme developers do put a lot of hard work into the creations they make for us, so if they want to go to the extra lengths to offer us something even more special for a low price, who does that hurt?  Everybody wants to earn some money.

On the negative side, I wonder what Mozilla would do if the themes page became one big home shopping network for Firefox themes?  Also are there any terms of service that would prevent the legalities of this happening?  Not sure myself, would need a lawyer for that one.

On what side of the fence do you come down on?

I have said it before, and I will probably say it again.  The people that work behind the greatest themes and add-ons we all use day to day don’t get the spotlight they deserve.  While browsing through some Firefox 3 ready themes I saw that one theme designer was hard at work getting his collection updated.  Here is the amazing work of Aaron Spuler.

Now you have the choice to switch between these without having to change your computer’s operating system.  Two new theme solutions for either XP or Vista have surfaced (they are experimental right now) on Firefox’s add-ons site.

Download the Firefox 3 themes here:

• Vista’s Theme on XP 1.0 (for Firefox 3)

So if you use XP but you like Vista’s theme more – use it.  If you use Vista and like XP’s theme more, you have a more colorful default theme solution.

Silvermel

I have been using Silvermel since RC2 of Firefox 3 and it is still possibly my top favorite when it comes to Firefox 3 theme alternatives.

Phoenity Reborn

Continuing the “phoenity” line of themes, this newest “reborn” creation has a well deserved spot on this list too.

Classic Compact

I know there are always minimalistic fans out there, so couldn’t leave them out.  Classic Compact is the best little theme you’ll ever get.

CrystalFox Modern

Updated for Firefox 3, CrystalFox is another favorite old theme that has made the jump to the newest version of Firefox.

StrataStripe

Want to mix the old with the new?  This theme mixes the best from the Strata theme and Winstripe to make one heck of a nice combonation.

Found out about this beauty of a theme via TwisterMC, and if anybody knows about a good looking theme, it is that guy.  Every inch of this theme is skinned from top to bottom with what I can only call “slickness”.  Silvermel seems to be a relation to Charamel – another great looking Firefox theme I hardly knew.
