Paste in Your E-mail

If there is one thing that we type in more than our names and passwords, it is our E-mail address. The thing we need is a tool that would just remember out E-mail address and paste it in where we wanted it and when we wanted it. Oh, you mean there is such a thing? The Paste E-mail Firefox extension does just that.

World Firefox Day

Oh you didn’t know? World Firefox Day is coming soon, and the folks at Mozilla want you to be apart of it and the browser.

This new site, located at World Firefox Day will guide users through the simple steps of 1. selecting one person (and only one person) who needs to be saved. 2. inviting them to download and install Firefox. 3. registering to have both of their names listed and celebrated in an interactive display inside of the Firefox 2 program.

Password Exporter

It is easy enough to export your bookmarks from Firefox, why not your passwords? That is the real pain in the rear when it comes to setting up a fresh install of Firefox. Nobody likes having to visit all your favorite Web sites just to click that little “remember my password” check box. Now with the Password Exporter extension, you can export and import your saved passwords and rejected sites between computers. Your passwords will be exported to an XML file and can be encrypted.

PDF Download

I hate the fact that I have no control when it comes to loading PDF files in the browser. That is the reason I picked up the PDF Download Firefox extension. This extension allows to choose if you want to view a PDF file inside the browser (as PDF or HTML), if you want to view it outside Firefox with your default or custom PDF reader, or if you want to download it! This is how PDF controls should have been done in the first place.

It is a question I am sure you have asked yourself at least once.

More Firefox 2 Coverage and Pics

Is Firefox 2.0 a slam dunk? Well, the folks at eWeek don’t think so. I am still happy with how things look, and so are the folks at Lifehacker. Go check out Lifehacker for some more pictures of the guts and soul of the newest edition of browser in question. I think we are reaching the point where some folks in the media Online almost want Firefox to fail. I guess they think we can’t let our idols get too powerful.

Throbber Button

We have all seen the Firefox throbber button, but how many of us actually use it for anything? The only time I use it is when I accidently click on it. Thanks to the Throbber Button extension though, you can now customize it to load whatever Web site you wish. Personally, I think you should set it to load FirefoxFacts.com!
