Want to display your Twitter timeline on the toolbar in Firefox? It is easy to do with Tweet Line. This simple add-on for Firefox will give you your very own Twitter powered news ticker.  What tweets do you see? Well, after authorizing your Twitter account, you see tweets from all the people you follow.

Once installed, Tweet Line will take up one toolbar space.  Inside though, you have easy access to a picture of the tweeter, the twitter message from the friend you are following, and several tools to either navigate or interact with the messages themselves.

Here are some of the commands you will have at your fingertips from within the toolbar itself:

• User icon
• This user’s status
• What application this user uses.
• Update time
• Current index / total number of downloaded statuses
• Toggle favorite
• Open update form
• Open update form to reply to this user
• Move to previous / next status. (Click with shift key then move per 5 updates and click with alt(option) key then move to first or last updates.)
• Open popup menu
• Collapse Tweet Line

If you find visiting Twitter.com a chore when it comes to seeing what people are up to, Tweet Line makes using Twitter just a little ‘bit easier.  You can pick up Tweet Line from the Firefox Add-ons website or learn more about it on the official Tweet Line website.

Have you noticed your friend number going down recently? I always kind of wonder who would unfriend me on Facebook and why.  The Unfriend Finder user script will at least help me answer one of those questions.  It will keep track of who unfriends you on Facebook.

The problem is that once you have over 100 friends it is a little hard to keep track of them all.  The Unfriend Finder simply gives you the ability to know when they have unfriended you or their account.  Once installed, you will have 0 unfriends.  When a person removes you or deactivates their account, you will be notified on the new "unfriend" page added to Facebook by this script.

This Unfriend Finder also gives you the ability to know who has not yet accepted your friend request. So if you want to know who is ignoring you – this gives you the real time ability to do just that too.

You will need Greasemonkey installed to make the script work.  Once you have that in place though, head over to unfriendfinder.com and start finding out who is unfriending you on Facebook.

Better Facebook Activity Tracking

After Installing, just navigate to Facebook’s web site to get started. Right off the bat, you’ll notice that your most recent notifications are now pinned to the right side of the Facebook window, as seen here:

If anybody un-friends you, you will also get notification from the front page of Facebook under the “Friend Tracker” section.

My Group Activity will alert you to new posts, members, and more in groups you are a member of.  This is much more handy than visiting each, one by one.

Better Facebook News Feed

On your news feed, you have a few more options to play with too.  Here is a little more about those from the developer:

Click ‘Mark All Read’ once you have read every story on this page. The stories will then be hidden the next time you view the page. But don’t worry – if any new comments are added they will show back up! This will let you keep track of conversations that you otherwise might have missed.

You can always go back and see all the hidden stories by clicking ‘Show All’, then hide them again by clicking ‘Hide Read’.

Better Facebook Options and More

By clicking the “Options” button on the front page, you can quickly configure and edit how you want to see updates come up.  For example, you can show, minimize or hide new friend notifications.

Need to filter your Facebook information?

Facebook Dislike

Facebook Dislike – This is an extension for all the pro-dislike Facebook groups out there.  After installing, you can dislike posts, and each time you do, the author of the extension keep track of it for everybody.  So this way, if somebody else installs the add-on, they too can see all the stories that have been disliked.

Facebook Dislike Button – Now why feature two add-ons that do the same job?  Well with this add-on, a comment will also be posted on your friend’s page on your behalf notifying them that you disliked the story using the dislike button. 

While Facebook themselves mull over the idea of adding this to the user interface, you can add this functionality to your Facebook page here and now.

Search Facebook from Anywhere – The Search Box allows you to easily search Facebook no matter where you are. Select a friend from the drop-down to go directly to their profile, or hit “enter” to see the search results.

Get Notified – Icons on the toolbar tell you how many new pokes, friend requests, and messages you have. A pop-up will notify you when your friends update their statuses, write a new note or interact with you on Facebook.

Connect with Friends – Click the icon to open the Facebook friends sidebar. You can sort your friends by name or status and easily interact with them and their profiles.

Share Content – The share button lets you share the page that you are currently browsing by sending it to friends or posting it to your profile.
