AutoPager is an extension that will automatically load the next page in a series of links so you have a continuous and infinite scrolling web page. By default AutoPager works with a ton of sites, including Lifehacker, the New York Times, Digg, and, of course, Google.

What if you want to use this add-on on a web site it was not configured to work with yet? Check out this tutorial on how to create new rules for the AutoPager extension:

How to Create AutoPager Rules for New Web Sites

So if you are tired of hitting “Next” then get yourself to the Firefox Add-ons site to pick up this recommended add-on. If you want to learn more about AutoPager, you can also visit it’s official section over at teesoft.info.

It is the little changes that make things better. The devil is in the details, and when it comes to customizing some of the Web’s most popular tools, you can often make them better by combining some of the little changes out there. Here are seven easy ways you can easily make Firefox a better browser – or at least the popular web site tools covered that you visit the most.

Better Amazon – The Better Amazon add-on for Firefox highlights listings with free shipping, enlarges product images, cleans up book pages, shortens URLS and more on Amazon.com. One of the best Amazon.com enhancers for your browser.

Better Flickr – A great complication of Greasemonkey scripts to make Flickr better for your average user. You have the Flickr buddy icon reply, more user links, photo magnifier, page enhancer and a more feature rich editor.

Better GCal – The Better GCal add-on for Firefox is a favorite of mine. It allows you to collapse the header and sidebar, wraps event titles, color weekend days, give week numbers and even a few skins too. Google Calendar never looked so good!

I have gotten a few e-mails lately wanting me to give Better GReader a second look. Maybe I didn’t give off enough of an ecstatic glow with my last look, but this time I promise to do better!

For those of you who are not familiar with the idea, Gina at Lifehacker is a master at rolling up a lot of great Greasemonkey hacks into one big extension for Firefox adding form, functionality and style to various Google services.

Here are some of the Greasemonkey Google Reader scripts that got rolled up into Better GReader:

Air Skin

Auto Add to Reader (bypass iGoogle choice)

Minimalistic

Optimized

OS X Skin

Preview Item (automatically)

Preview Item (click button)

Smart Subscribe

I always look forward to seeing what they do with their “Better” Firefox series of extensions at Lifehacker and this one is no different. Pick it up for yourself and let me know what you like or don’t like about it.

Firefox only: Google Reader is one of the best web-based feed readers out there, but it could stand a few adjustments. Greasemonkey scripters have come up with a few Google Reader user scripts that make some welcome GReader tweaks like maximizing the viewing area, skipping Google’s default subscribe mechanism, and adding keyboard shortcuts.

I downloaded it the minute I saw it and haven’t stopped using it yet. Can’t wait to see what they do with it in the future. Good work guys (and gals) at Lifehacker!

Want to make Gmail better? Well the folks over at Lifehacker have put together one heck of a nice Firefox extension – taking some of the best Greasemonkey scripts from around the Web. What does it do? It adds a menu of optional extra features to Gmail. To view the enabled features and get more information on each, in Firefox’s Add-ons dialog, click on Better Gmail’s Preferences dialog.

Gmail’s good, but it could be better. We’ve featured several Greasemonkey scripts that enhance Gmail in lots of different ways – like adding saved searches, attachment icons, label colors, keyboard macros, a filter assistant and right-click conversation previews. But not everyone wants to install Greasemonkey and hunt down all those scripts.
