best guide to add-ons, themes and tips for Firefox

I have looked at Shareaholic, the super-charged link sharing tool for Firefox, before in the past, however, there have been many new features and renovations since the last time I checked out this power house of a Firefox extension.
I thought it would be worth the effort to re-introduce you to this fine add-on for Firefox.
What is so Special About Shareaholic?
The main idea behind Shareaholic, is to be the ultimate add-on for the link sharing addict. It works with Facebook, Twiter, MySpace, digg, Gmail, StumbleUpon and more; giving you instant access to reach for all your link submitting and sharing needs.
One nice feature new to me, since the last time I checked out this add-on is the ability to customize how the add-on is displayed in Firefox. You can have it show up in the URL bar, in your context menu, or as a button in the navigation panel.
By far, this is one of the best add-ons to get your hands on if you are a social network junkie, and need any easy way to submit to them all. With that said though, you can easily customize which social sites are viewable (or not) in the options too.
Any Firefox add-on that lets me customize how to use it, so that I can make it suit my own needs even more is a winner in my book. De-clutter your browser and pick up Shareaholic up on the official web site, Shareaholic.com or via the Firefox Add-ons site.
Ping.fm makes it simple to update all of your social network pages in a snap. The only thing that would make it even easier to use, is if there was a Firefox add-on based around it. PingFire is that tool.
Ping.fm is a cool tool in its own right. It allows you to updates twitter, jaiku, tumblr, pownce, facebook, myspace and more all in one single place. This PingFire extension just adds onto that functionality – by allowing to to use PingFire from anywhere.
PingFire supports all of Ping.fm’s contents types, your custom triggers, as well as Ping.fm’s posting shortcuts. It also includes a “Quote” feature which post the selected text and the URL to Ping.fm.

How is that for a Firefox add-on name? Alright, truth be told I might have added a little to it. The toolbar’s name is really just the Ultimate MySpace Toolbar. I think my name has a little more flare though. This MySpace toolbar offers a lot of nice features including:
In a cage match to the death, who would win between the best of the MySpace user scripts versus the Facebook user scripts? Load up Firefox, install Greasemonkey – and give some of these handy addons a try. I use both MySpace and Facebook so hard for me to decide. How about you?

So this might not be the first tool, the only tool, or the best tool – but it is another tool when it comes to saving video from the Web. Out of all the video downloading tools I have seen this one might have the best interface of them all.
As you can see, it gives you a button on your toolbar to click on and get direct access to downloading. This is something I have wanted to see for a long time. It also works with YouTube, MySpace, Google videos, DailyMotion, Porkolt, iFilm and others.

Now when it comes to MySpace, general navigation is usually thrown out the window. Well, that is before you see the huge “I want to be a gangster” images and bouncing hearts all over the place.
If you want to gain some control back when it comes to viewing MySpace profiles (and you have Greasemonkey) I would suggest picking up the MySpaceHax user script.
This allows you to have a neat menu on the right over every profile that gives you quick access to: Add, Add to Group, Block, Blog, View Comments, View Pictures and View Groups. This is the Greasemonkey script that every MySpace addict needs to pick up to make MySpace kind of usable.

It has been a while since I looked at any Greasemonkey scripts. The newest one that I have checked out is called Myspace Notifier. This script will notify you of any new mail, friend requests, and more. To use it, make sure you have the Firefox Greasemonkey extension installed.

Merge MySpace and Firefox
Do you want to bring together the best of MySpace and Firefox? Sure Firefox is sleek and nice and MySpace is about as pretty as that Hungarian transfer student that wanted to take you to your prom. That doesn’t mean they can not get along though. The best tool to gain access to MySpace that I have ever found is the unofficial MySpace Toolbar.
One new feature they have added is notifications when important things happen. You know, like when that friend of yours posts the 101 reasons why you shouldn’t use your toes to pick your nose.. or something to that effect.
