Tabs Menu

Ever wanted a drop-down menu of all your open tabs? The Tabs Menu Firefox extension does just that. This was not one of my must have features in Firefox, but now that I have tried it – it isn’t that bad at all.

The menu lists all the tabs contained in the current window so that it’s easier to see the full titles of tabs and switch between them when the tab’s title becomes too small to read or the tabs have disappeared off the right-hand side.

Navigational Sounds

One thing that I have not missed since moving over to Firefox is all the beeps and bloops Internet Explorer makes while you are navigating through your Web pages. Some people may like getting these dinging sounds though, even if they just make me feel a little dingy. That is where the Navigational Sounds extension comes into play.

Digger

Don’t be fooled by the name, this extension has nothing to do with Digg.com. It is though a great tool to actually make that “Go” button a little more useful!

Allows you to navigate to parent directories in a URL and climb through subdomains (e.g. go to http://example.com/ from http://sub.example.com/), all from a context menu on the Go button (and on the toolbar button provided by Go Up, if you have that extension installed).

Firefox 2.0 Beta Fixes Tab Overflow

What the heck is tab overflow? I was confused as well:

By this point I think most people know the frustration that I had with how Mozilla handled the scrolling tab-bar in Firefox but it looks like they have found a good solution. By default I can now have a much more reasonable number of tabs open, in the area of 20-30, before the tabs start to scroll. Thank you Mozilla!

SurfBook

Most of the time we browse from Web page to Web page without thinking about any organization to our madness. If you think of the Web as a book, and each Web site is a page in that book, then navigation makes a little more sense. The SurfBook Firefox extension gives your browser that ability.
