An optimized build of Firefox 2 for G4, G5, and Intel Macs is out in the wild now. Not only do they have the builds ready for all the Mac owning Firefox fans, they also have a good list of add-ons available as well. That is the end of my Apple knowledge -since I am more of a Windows guy, but I couldn’t pass on the chance to share this with those who might not have my same choice in operating systems.

Swiftfox is an optimized build of Mozilla Firefox. Swiftfox has builds for both AMD and Intel processors. The 1.5.0.5 release is based on Firefox 1.5.0.5. The trunk is the most cutting edge of all the builds and is where Firefox 3 is being developed. Branch builds are built from a code base that has been tested much more than the trunk and therefore should be considered to be more stable. The 1.8 branch is where Mozilla develops Firefox 2 which will be the next major Firefox release.
