Now, Firefox’s new Personas feature has seem taken off really well. Each time I visit the Personas web site, there are more and more backgrounds to use for Firefox. So with such a good start, what will be the downfall of the Personas?
It all comes down to quantity over quality. Some of these backgrounds just are not any good. The same could be said for many Firefox themes too, but with Personas – there are a few simple things that [...]
Firefox works fine, but then the worst might happen (even to you!). Something goes wonky and Firefox goes from a browsing tool to an annoyance. So how exactly do you troubleshoot an issue with Firefox?
For most people, I would suggest trying to run Firefox in Safe Mode first. You can use the command line: firefox -safe-mode to get there (for Windows users).
On Linux, you can go to your Terminal and run (for Firefox): /path/to/firefox/firefox -safe-mode
On Mac OS X, go [...]
Firefox uses a lot of RAM. It is the number one complaint about this otherwise awesome web browser. So what can you do to solve this issue? Well there are a few rumored fixed out there in the wild.
Here is the nitty-gritty about:config solution to the problem:
Open up about:config by typing it into your Firefox address bar.
Right-click, go to new and then integer and name it this: browser.cache.memory.capacity
For the integer value, enter in 15000 [...]
It looks like Firefox has two new flaws that I think we should all be aware of. Both of them for the advanced Firefox user, might not be so hard to fall for – but for some others out there, it could be a real issue.
The first one, affects internal frames behavior and could help a malicious web site to spoof another one or capture key presses.
As the old game show host might say, that’s not all! [...]
I have noticed a comment or two here and a post or two somewhere else that Firefox seems to give Mac users some trouble. Now in the future, it has been promised that things should get better (by the time Firefox 3 rolls out) but some do not want to wait. If you feel like you have a good opinion to share about the Apple/Firefox experience, I have a place where you can go sound off.
+ Post Your [...]
I want to start up something new here. With all the Firefox Facts fans out there and myself, I think we can do some good and help some folks.
Are you looking for Firefox to do something that it has not done before? Are you having trouble finding the perfect extension to fix your issue? Do you have a request for a Firefox feature that has not been seen before? If you fall into any [...]

One of the few pains in the rear with using the latest and greatest version of Firefox is that it take a little work to get everything working just right.
With every new release of Firefox–like yesterday’s release of Firefox 2 Beta 2–comes the question, “How do I make my old extensions work with the new version?” Some extensions–which Mozilla is now calling Add-ons–made for older versions of Firefox really don’t work with the newer features and can cause problems, but [...]

Every so often, Firefox extensions go bad. Now they don’t start to live a life of crime – but they do tend to get a little buggy. The folks over at Mozillazine.org have a list of problematic Firefox extensions, and what you can do if you run into the same problem with those extensions.

So out of the two big browsers of the future, which one will handle security issues better?
Microsoft and Mozilla are on a collision course, both racing to complete major updates to their flagship web browsers scheduled for release this fall. Over the past two years, Firefox has zoomed from nowhere to gobble a significant chunk of market share at Internet Explorer’s expense. The biggest selling point for Firefox is its generally better record on security issues; so it’s no accident [...]
