Today I have for you three themes based on the ideas and icons behind the Gnome Colors project. What is that? The Gnome Colors project really aims at making the Gnome desktop as elegant, colorful and consistent as possible.
So can these three themes, each accented with their own color stand up to the rest of the Firefox themes out there? I will let you decide.
Have a love for the default Firefox 3 theme (also known as Strata) but just wish it was all one color? If you find yourself in this proverbial boat – I have some good news. You now have several different colors to choose from when it comes to using the default Firefox theme.

So what do you think of these more colorful versions of the default Firefox 3 theme?
The ladies out there that like for their browser to look a little more on the girly side don’t get many choices when it comes to themes for Firefox. Together here I have picked some of the best looking feminine themes I could find on this side of the technicolor happy rainbow.
Lovely Lilac / LL 1.0.0 – Works With Firefox: 2.0 – 2.0.0.*

Purple, wacky but some-what purdy the ToonSkin theme for Firefox has a little ‘bit of something for everybody to enjoy. Been playing around with this one this morning, and have to say it is pretty nice. It’s a fully functional theme with a purple tint and a nice mix of Windows and Apple design techniques.
The only thing I wish is that it dealt a little better with having the toolbars in different places. If your toolbar area is customized at all – it kind of breaks the theme. Other than that though, I would give it three Firefox fanboys out of five.
Now it is no secret that I have been a big fan of the “cylence” series of themes for a long time now. I just got word though that a new one has been released. The new Amethyst version of the Cylence line of themes now gives you that traditional look but all flavored with just a touch of purple.
If you want your Firefox surfing to be laced with a touch of class, go give Amethyst a look. I promise it is worth it.
When I saw the first Cylence theme for Firefox, I was in love. It was the basic default Firefox theme, but in a cool and dark exterior. It make my browsing experience look even slicker than it already was.
There is a new one out now, and it has a more “purple” feeling to it. The new Saphir Variation of the Cylence theme is a thing of beauty. They took what worked in the first one and added a new color to the mix – plain and simple.
What is next? Personally I would like to see an “emerald” version.
