Getting in on the fun, the Lifehacker team has also posted a list of the top 10 Firefox 3.5 features you should check out, if you want to see what is in store for your favorite browser.

Bonus – Also worth mentioning is there is rumors that Firefox 3.5 could be out by June 30th?

  ]]> http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2009/06/23/firefox-3-5-preview-whats-new/feed/ 0 Firefox 3 RC 2 Released http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2008/06/05/firefox-3-rc-2-released/ http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2008/06/05/firefox-3-rc-2-released/#comments Thu, 05 Jun 2008 11:02:37 +0000 Mitch http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2008/06/05/firefox-3-rc-2-released/ We are getting closer to a final release for Firefox 3 and that is the sort of thing that just makes me all happy inside.  Not much is really known about the Firefox 3 RC2 release as far as what has been improved.  In a general nutshell it is said they fixed some reliability and performance issues.  For me?  It is just as awesome as Firefox 3 RC1 was, so thank goodness for little things.

You can download the Firefox 3 – RC2 at the Mozilla web site if your feeling like you want to do a little testing.  If you have RC1 and you want to move to RC2, just go up to “Help” in the menu bar, then “Check for Updates”.

Check out the release notes for yourself and then download if your ready to take the leap.  Once again, must say this isn’t the final version just yet, so unless your just overly curious like some of us – might want to wait before downloading.

The only disappointment I have seen across the board is the way it handles RSS feeds, but hey – I am sure they will get better with time. If not, that is the beauty of Firefox, somebody can write an extension to fix it if they don’t like it. With that said, I figured you would all enjoy taking a look at the side by side comparisons arstechnica did of RC1 and RC2 of Firefox 2.

Now with a title like that, you would expect to hear they took out tabbed browsing, or the new styled RSS feeds. No, they moan about a couple of features I didn’t even know Firefox 2 had – over I never used.

Shame on Jim Rapoza and eWeek.com for trying to get more eyeballs with a Chicken Little headline.
