Usually with these price comparison tools, if you want the lowest price – you have to order your product from some shady unknown realtor that you might or might not feel comfortable dealing with. As you can see in the picture here, the add-on does a great job at comparing some of the biggest and best online realtors to find you the best deal.

Here are a few more features worth mentioning:

• Instant Price Comparison: PriceBlink automatically lets you know if you’ve found the lowest price on a product or whether it can be found for less at another retailer. PriceBlink checks more than 4,000 merchants for lower prices.
• Shipping Charges: PriceBlink displays shipping costs along with price comparison results, the first add-on of its kind to do so.
• Coupons: PriceBlink also alerts you to money-saving coupons and free shipping codes for the site that you are on.

The only downside to this add-on I could find is that it is for US users only.  You can pick up PriceBlink from the Firefox add-ons website. If you have any other great shopping or coupon finding add-ons you’d like to share, please be sure to mention them in the comments.

The idea here is simple.  The AmazonAssist add-on is suppose to help me discover relevant Amazon products while I surf around the Internet. As I search for products, the AmazonAssist add-on for Firefox will use my search keywords to find matching products on Amazon.com and will display them in a different search result panel.

To give a test drive, I searched for “NES” on Google:

To it’s credit – the AmazonAssist (across the bottom of the window) did find relevant content as it related to my search. So yes, AmazonAssist works! If you see a product that interests you in the AmazonAssist window, simply click it and you will be taken to the listing for that product on the Amazon website.

Now for those of you worried about Amazon spying on you, they are straight forward when it comes to telling you what information they are looking at.

AmazonAssist collects information from certain websites you visit, including major search engine websites, in order to improve your search experience. If you also have an Amazon.com cookie, AmazonAssist will associate your web browsing information with your cookie and account information in order to help us further personalize your Amazon shopping experiences. If you do not want your web browsing information associated with your Amazon.com account, you can easily opt-out within the AmazonAssist application.

If you like to do all your shopping through Amazon, this add-on is simply a really handy addition to an already great service.  You can pick it up at the Firefox Add-ons website.

Now, I will be honest – it has been a while since I messed around with the wish list feature on Amazon because it was hard to find and point people towards.  However, with the Add to Amazon Wish List Button add-on for Firefox, that task just got a lot easier.

For Amazon wish list users, this extension is a must have.  Once installed, it provides an "add to my wish list" button right into the Firefox toolbar interface.

Once you click it, you are given a pop-up window that will let you fill out more details about the product on Amazon you saw and desired.  Here is a little more information about the add-on from Amazon.com:

Need quick and easy access to your wish list on Amazon?  Honestly, I have not used the wish list function on Amazon’s web site in a long time because it is so complicated to get to.  However, with the Amazon Universal Wish List add-on for Firefox, my mind might have been changed.  This not only gives you quick access to all your wish lists.  it also allows you to quickly add things at the push of a button.

The amazing extension really is an indispensable tool for Amazon power users.

Maybe this add-on won’t get me back into the habit of creating my birthday list online, however it does at least do its job.  It gives me an easy way to access the Amazon wish list system.

Better Amazon promises to make your Amazon shopping even better in a number of ways.  If you shop on Amazon a lot, this is a great companion to the browser.

This user script is a must-have for heavy duty Amazon.com shoppers.  It will remove ads, cleans the overall layout of the web page, makes sections collapsible, adds the Amazon average rating to the title, and does a much better job at packing a lot of information onto the screen without the need to keep scrolling down.

It should also be noted that the author’s affiliate ID is attached to the purchases you might make, but he’s very upfront about that fact, and it is really a small price to pay to support such a great add-on idea. Amazon.com is the Web’s version of Walmart.  Almost everything you could need is there, and they make it so simple to shop there and the prices so low, you cannot help but come back again and again for more.  If you find yourself turning to Amazon every time you order something online, then you might want to check out the Amazon Button add-on for Firefox.

With this extension installed, you can easily navigate through the most popular destinations on Amazon’s web site.  The default drop down menu selection is huge, because it lists every category Amazon covers for your shopping needs.   Users can add up to three custom menu items too.

Context Search and Customization

Once the Amazon Button is up and running in your Firefox browser, you can highlight any text, right-click and search Amazon.com for it.  You can also customize the destination for the main button itself. If you have a favorite Amazon.com page you would like to have quick and easy access to, this would be the place to point to it.

While there is an Amazon toolbar you can use too, I like the Amazon.com button because it provides all the same great tools with less of the clutter.  This is a must have add-on for Firefox if you are an Amazon shop-a-holic.

This is the best way to add Amazon search suggestions to the search box in your browser.  Having the suggestions in hand, you will really be able to speed up your shopping.  This is much better than the default Amazon search, for one obvious reason – the suggestions you get.  Not only does this provide you with a quicker way to search.  It also helps with catching spelling mistakes and saving keystrokes.
