Firefox Add-on for Amazon Fans

Firefox Add-on for Amazon.com Users

I won’t lie to you, I do a lot, if not all, of my shopping online via Amazon.com.  They provide a great service, what can I say?  For fans of the Amazon service I have an add-on for Firefox that will knock your online shopping socks off.  Amazon Hot! Stuff is the perfect fan for any Amazon shopping addict.

Once installed, you easily have access to your lists, your cart, and gift ideas all from one browser button.  You can also quickly browser through hot new releases, most gifted, most wished for and the movers and shakers on the Amazon web site.  Without fuss or confusion it does what it is suppose to do – give you easier browsing access to some of the most popular parts of the Amazon web site.

If you consider yourself a die-hard Amazon fan, the Amazon Hot! Stuff extension for Firefox can not be missed.  Consider this your blue light special to get the month of June started off right.

GoogAzon – Product and Web Search Combined!

I love shopping with Amazon.  Now before you say how close-minded I am, let me remind you they allow a person to purchase a  JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser Tank when they so desire.   If you too feel the love for Amazon and the goods they provide, try out GoogAzon

This is an experimental add-on for Firefox that will give you the top ten results in Amazon for every Google search you do.  See something you like?  Click the Amazon link it gives you.

GoogAzon in Action!

Check out the screencast of it in action here.  Use another search engine?  Don’t worry!  GoogAzon works with Yahoo or MSN Live searches too.  The last feature worth mentioning is the “share” link which allows you to e-mail to your friends (or yourself) with the results displayed.

Download, install and learn more about GoogAzon on it’s official web site or the Firefox Add-ons site.

Using Firefox as a Daily Deal Finder

shopping-with-firefox In the Online world, the idea of shopping alone with no help at all is more than a little out dated.  If you take a look around there are so many services and add-ons for Firefox that will turn you into a shopping and deal finding juggernaut.

You just have to know where to look and which are the best of the best.

Shopping Bag – This add-on promises to help you never miss a deal again.  It is a free add-on that works with Firefox to help you find deals via iBakeSale.com.  Cash-back at hundreds of online stores?  Sounds interesting to me.

Pronto Shopping Messenger – The next extension on the list here brings you instant price comparisons when you shop online via a small message window that alerts you of potential savings.

Shopzilla – Easy search and save tool that makes Online shopping a little easier and cheaper too, if you use the tool correctly.  Browse through sites like eBay and Amazon to find the best deal possible on the product you most desire.

Grocery List Generator – This add-on would be more helpful for “real world” shopping and hunting down of deals.  The Grocery List Generator helps store your lists you need regularly.

Coupon Craze – This is one of the many coupon alerters out there that will help you keep track of the latest coupons, deals and offers when visiting your favorite shopping sites.

RetailMeNot 2.0 – Shopping has gone Web 2.0!  If you find yourself always a day late and a dollar short when it comes to finding deals, RetailMeNot is the addon for you.  It automatically informs you of sites its’ users have shared discount coupon codes for.

Woot Watcher – We all love Woot, right?  I just feel silly typing that, but they do find some great deals.  Woot Watcher monitors the Woot web site and keeps you updated on the current item, price and if it is sold out yet or not.

As you can see Firefox can be turned from a normal everyday browser into a shopper’s best friend.  Toss in a few add-ons, and you can then brag to your friends that you too are saving money and finding the best deals on the Web.

CashAddOn – Seems Like a Scam

CashAddOnLooking to make a little green for shopping with a select number of stores Online? One new extension hopes you do – and its name is CashAddOn. This extension and the web site that goes along with it while promoting a “good deal” seems a little fishy to me.

They list percentages on their web site of how much you can make, but the terms of service seems to argue that these numbers actually might be lower. Also a “cash back” deal seems to be reject-able at any time since they say the stores can thumbs up it or thumbs down it at any time.

If for any reason the affiliate site does not process the expected funds from the purchase, we will not offer the cash back to our members. The amount listed on the ‘Store’ page and estimated values, and we do not commit to offering these amounts.

Last but not least we have another place tracking your shopping via a cookie in the browser. So if privacy is a big concern of yours – you might want to look elsewhere for your cheap ways to make some dough.

On the hopefully positive side – it is on the Mozilla Addons web site, so one hopes it made it through some sort of “sniff test”.

Maybe time will tell with this place, but for some reason something just doesn’t smell right with this extension. Maybe I’m just a little paranoid about the money for nothing deals. Then again, I am still waiting for that punched out monkey to deliver my iPod too.

Mozilla Store Gets Makeover

Mozilla Store

The Mozilla Store has gotten a fresh new look. I have to say I really like it – and might even do some shopping there myself in the not so distant future. Why?

In honor of the new Mozilla Store opening, we are running a special promotion: with every purchase of over $10 that you make at the store, we will include an exclusive Japanese sticker set in your order. Take advantage of this great deal, and start shopping now!

If that is not enough reason to jump, then maybe winning $50 will be.

Not happy yet? How about you use the coupon code MOZILLASTYLE to get 10% off. Now lets see you keep from jumping up and down with excitement.

Coupon Notifier for Firefox

Coupon HuntingLong gone are the days of sitting hunched back over the Sunday newspaper, cutting out ads for the next week’s worth of shopping. With neat extensions like Coupon Craze now we can just do all that hard work “virtually”.

Here is a little more about the extension from the developers:

The extension supports over 4000+ merchants with up to date offers to be found. So if you see the bag light up that means the site you are shopping at has offers available. Click the “Offers” button to get an up to date list of the offers available on the very site you are visiting. Then click the offer and you will be taken to the special offer and if the offer requires a coupon be given a coupon code or display any additional restrictions or instructions.

Sounds like a good deal to me. If this could also team up with some of the other coupon databases out there, it would really be a winner to me. All in all though, a deal is a deal no matter which way you slice it – and there is never anything wrong with getting your goods a little cheaper.
