Here is a little more about the Firefox theme from the developer:

The icons and style are mostly taken directly from Firefox 0.9 Winstripe and Pinstripe for Mac, both designed by Kevin Gerich and Stephen Horlander. This is my absolute favorite Firefox theme, and I am not planning on porting others into Stratini. The code is all based on Stratini so Stratini-Stripe 0.9 includes all of the Stratini features such as tiny Teeny Mode, miniature bookmarks, rotating Reload button, highlighted text input boxes, and encryption coloring in the urlbar.

This adds one more unique member to the Stratini family of themes, have you collected them all?

You can pick up the Stratini-Stripe Point Nine theme from the Firefox Add-ons web site.  Now you tell me, which Stratini theme is your favorite?

There have been several highlighter extensions I have seen over the years for Firefox, however this one might be my favorite.  The ultra light-weight Highlights add-on for Firefox simply highlights selected text on web pages with a right-click of the mouse.

To highlight text on a web page, select the text, right-click (‘Ctrl+Click’, on Mac OS X) and select ‘Highlight’ menu from the popup.  The default yellow highlight color can easily be changed, by clicking the “Highlights” icon on the status bar, and choosing the color picker.  To remove the highlights, simply refresh the page.

No matter if you are doing research or you just like to highlight interesting points while you read, the Highlights extension is an excellent way to mark your spot on the Web.

The major benefits Compact Menu 2 has over Tiny Menu are:

• An even smaller footprint (one small blue globe to access your regular menu bar items)
• You can move it anywhere (Tiny Menu was locked to one location)

As far as customization goes, you can select the menus you want to see in the new popup  compact menu.  These are:  File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help.  Each has a check mark beside it, so if you don’t want to see it – get rid of the check mark, and then save your settings.

One thing that might catch people off guard, is it doesn’t work right off the bat after you have installed it.  After installation, right-click on menu bar and choose “Customize…”, drag the “Menu” button or the “Compact Menu” icon to the position where you like on toolbar, then click Done.

Compact Menu 2 has earned it’s spot into my day to day use, so I give it two thumbs up.

The tiny little theme we all know and love is now ready for Firefox 3.  Classic Compact might be my favorite out of all the “Mini Me” themes out there for Firefox.  Not only does it shrink the browser interface of Firefox but it also does so in a visually appealing way.

Not only do we get a theme to share though, we awesome have an add-on to help customize Classic Compact even more.  The rightfully named Classic Compact Options extension gives you a little more control over the specific theme itself.

Options include: FF2 buttons; keyhole arrows; turning off gradient backgrounds; modifying borders; OS scrollbars; dark system color support; merging menu bar into one menu button; etc.

So if your already growing tired of the default Firefox 3 theme, might give Classic Compact a shot.

Here are a few words to describe it from the “twisted” one himself.

Miint is not your average theme, it’s been built with the idea that a smaller theme file may make Firefox a bit faster. iPox (by comparison) weights in at about 830K and other themes on the Mozilla Addon site are over 1 MB in size. Miint however is just under 300K.
