Time to have us a good old extension cage match. In one corner you have the Hawaiian punch of the link sharing world - Mahalo Share. In the other, weighing in with way too many link sharing resources is Shareaholic. Here is what each brings to the table…
Mahalo Share - Share and recommend Web pages across many different services; recommend a link once and have it automatically posted to any of Twitter, del.icio.us, MySpace, Ma.gnolia, Jaiku, your Tumblr blog, Facebook, Pownce, StumbleUpon, Mahalo, Faves, or Google Bookmarks.
Shareaholic - Found something awesome online and can’t wait to pass it on? Tired of copying and pasting endless URLs? Shareaholic allows you to share, bookmark, and e-mail web pages quickly via a wide array of web 2.0 social websites without cluttering up your browser!
For those looking for a smaller addon, that is simple and get the job done, I would recommend Mahalo Share. Fore the people wanting an add-on that does a little ‘bit of everything in one spot, then for you we have Shareaholic. Both have their advantages so I am afraid I would have to call this one a draw.

I am a big fan of Mahalo - an alternative to your traditional search engine. I didn’t have a clue until now though that they had a toolbar too. Mahalo Follow gives you all kinds of goodies to help you use Mahalo and a handful of other bonus services.
Some of the features of Mahalo Follow for Firefox are:
- You can quickly recommend links to Mahalo for search results
- Share your recommended links on Twitter, Faves, del.icio.us, Google Bookmarks, Stumble Upon and more.
- Follow Mahalo results from the toolbar
- Follow links and do a little random browsing of the Web, based on links to relative content
For those of you not up on what Mahalo is, it is a human powered search engine. All the search results are put together by the community, and by doing it this way you can often get results that make much more sense and that are at a higher level of relevancy than your traditional searches.
Pick up Mahalo Follow for yourself. If your a fan of the Mahalo search, I would highly recommend it as a useful addition to that Web tool.

It isn’t often that I find one of these social “all in one” tools that I really like. They are usually lacking in a few areas or tossing so much stuff in my face, I don’t know how to even get started. One place that seems to have learned from the bad and the good to roll out an awesome service is ShareThis.com.
This service makes it super easy to get to sharing just about anything at just about all the biggest bookmarking and social link sharing web sites out there. With the Firefox extension you gain a button for your toolbar that when hit, will pop up a box letting you e-mail the link to others or post it to your diggs, stumble upons and deliciouses of the world.
Another neat feature I have yet to see anywhere else is the ability to scan your contacts at MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, GMail, AIM and others so that when you send a link to a friend, you can pick exactly how it is sent to them an via which platform you’d like to send it.
If you don’t want to have to install the extension, you can also gain a lot of the same features by adding the bookmarklet to your links as well. All in all, I would say that ShareThis is a winner and one of the more impressive Firefox additions I have seen in a while.

Some of the new tools and services out there with the social kink in them have yet to really impress me. One of the few that does the job though and does it well is Me.dium. This service, along side the Firefox extension that comes with it is something I think everybody should try out.
The neat thing about Me.dium is it opens up an entire new world that many might not see behind the web site your visiting. Talking with others that might be on the same web page you are on is a neat experience. Also they give you recommendations of other web pages you should visit based on the one you are at right now too.
Browse with friends or make new ones, the possibilities for the future of this application are endless.
If you get tired of it or you don’t want to use it all the time, just click the browser icon to turn it on and off. The tool lives in your sidebar, so you don’t have to worry about messing up the layout or visual of the current web site you are on either.
There is a world behind each web site you visit, so get to exploring!

Are you a Shareaholic? If so - you need help.
The Shareaholic extension for Firefox makes it easy for you to submit the web page you’re viewing to digg, del.icio.us, facebook, google bookmarks, reddit and stumbleupon. If you prefer, you can also e-mail the web page to a friend.
There are a lot of social engines out there - are you sharing with them all? Usually folks pick one or two services and stick with them, but if you want to use them all then this is the Firefox extension for you. If you need a web site to start sharing, how about FirefoxFacts.com?

No, I’m not talking browser ghetto slang, I am talking about the new project I found out about on Spread Firefox. It is a pretty neat concept. Here is how they put it, as I am afraid my explanation of it might confuse some.
Our page is set-up so that users can come and ‘fill in’ the Firefox logo by claiming a pixel. They can use their spot on the logo to express themselves and to shoutout to the world about anyone who has got their back.
Join in on the fun! I’d like nothing more than to bring these people a few more pixels in. Also see if you can find me (I’m the guy with the coconut and hammer) - and include as the guy that “told you” about Firefox. Just type in Mitch.

What happens when you mix the social link sharing of a Web site like digg with the fanatical fans of Mozilla’s Firefox? I have a feeling you would get something that looks like the newest edition to the social news bookmarking world Foxiewire.com.
Another new Spread Firefox project, this one shows a lot of promise. It is built on the digg cloning script, pligg - so the interface should be one that you are used to by now. The only thing that bugs me thus far is when you click on a link, it does not take you directly to the story.
Oh the other thing that bugs me is there is no mention of Firefox Facts! (only kidding guys) If you are looking for yet another Web site to help you stay on top of the Firefox world - Foxiewire might be the place for you.
