Tab Colors is a basic add-on for Firefox that allows you to specify background colors for your tabs.  Sometimes when you color code things, it makes them easier to work with.  You know the green tab is the tab for your social stuff.  You know the blue tab is the tab for your work project.  This add-on is really great.

Security Tab Colorizer

When installed this add-on will colorize your tabs depending on the protocol they use (currently [http/https red/green respectively] only). So you would know if you are browsing through a secured connection even if you have hidden the navigation bar.
