A Look Back and Forward With Mozilla

As a long time Netscape (now SeaMonkey, a community maintained project) user, having an E-mail client that was integrated into a suite came as a big help as an all in one solution.

Then a relatively new browser came along by the name of Mozilla Firebird, shortly afterwards because of a trademark dispute it changed to Fire Phoenix. Then, finally, it changed again in February 2004 to Firefox. Back in 2003 the (newly established) Mozilla Foundation announced they were to begin working exclusively on Firefox and Thunderbird as part of the Mozilla Project.

Firefox the Super Hero

So what if Firefox was a super hero and not a browser? Would it be able to leap over buildings in a single bound? Kill popups with it’s “lasso of truth”? Well, I might not know what the Firefox super hero might do – but I do have a good idea of what he might look like.

The thing that I love most at Firefox community marketing is viewing the galleries. You can share your photos. To me, that is the fun part. Here are a few of my pictures. The first picture is a Firefox superhero.

The second picture is about Mozilla’s Thunderbird Email at mozilla.com. The last picture is a Firefox ring. I used a 3d figure design software to create most of my pictures. I love art!

Backup Firefox, Thunderbird, and Gaim profiles with the click of a button. Then restore them just as easily. Backzilla. Net is perfect for backing up all these profiles. No need to install. Once the profiles are backed up, you can transfer the folder to a new computer and use the restore feature to apply your profile to the new computer. If, for some reason, the restore fails, there is an undo feature. Version 2.1 has Backzilla.
