Here is a little more about the Firefox theme from the developer:

The icons and style are mostly taken directly from Firefox 0.9 Winstripe and Pinstripe for Mac, both designed by Kevin Gerich and Stephen Horlander. This is my absolute favorite Firefox theme, and I am not planning on porting others into Stratini. The code is all based on Stratini so Stratini-Stripe 0.9 includes all of the Stratini features such as tiny Teeny Mode, miniature bookmarks, rotating Reload button, highlighted text input boxes, and encryption coloring in the urlbar.

You can pick up the Stratini-Stripe Point Nine theme from the Firefox Add-ons web site.  Now you tell me, which Stratini theme is your favorite?

Click the “copy to clipboard” button and you are ready to share your link with the world.  That is it.  No fancy features, no unwanted fuss.  You can pick up the Foxy URL add-on for Firefox at the Firefox Add-ons site or via their own web site at FoxyURL.com.

Shorten URL, an extension for Firefox will do this for you.  From the context menu, you can quickly shorten any link or web page’s URL into one that is easier to share.  Once installed, you can launch the link shortener in a number of different ways.  Right-clicking any link will give you the “Shorten this link URL” in the context menu.  Also right-clicking on any page will do the same.  You can even even launch the link shortener for a specific frame too.

Here are some of the other Shorten URL features:

• Automatically copy to clipboard (disabled by default)
• Automatically post to Twitter (disabled by default)
• Supports 35 URL shortening services

The major benefits Compact Menu 2 has over Tiny Menu are:

• An even smaller footprint (one small blue globe to access your regular menu bar items)
• You can move it anywhere (Tiny Menu was locked to one location)

As far as customization goes, you can select the menus you want to see in the new popup  compact menu.  These are:  File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help.  Each has a check mark beside it, so if you don’t want to see it – get rid of the check mark, and then save your settings.

One thing that might catch people off guard, is it doesn’t work right off the bat after you have installed it.  After installation, right-click on menu bar and choose “Customize…”, drag the “Menu” button or the “Compact Menu” icon to the position where you like on toolbar, then click Done.

Compact Menu 2 has earned it’s spot into my day to day use, so I give it two thumbs up.

The tiny little theme we all know and love is now ready for Firefox 3.  Classic Compact might be my favorite out of all the “Mini Me” themes out there for Firefox.  Not only does it shrink the browser interface of Firefox but it also does so in a visually appealing way.

Not only do we get a theme to share though, we awesome have an add-on to help customize Classic Compact even more.  The rightfully named Classic Compact Options extension gives you a little more control over the specific theme itself.

Options include: FF2 buttons; keyhole arrows; turning off gradient backgrounds; modifying borders; OS scrollbars; dark system color support; merging menu bar into one menu button; etc.

So if your already growing tired of the default Firefox 3 theme, might give Classic Compact a shot.

• miniFox & miniFoxFlat – both pretty to look at and still functional to use. both also have the same basic look and style.
• Classic Compact – seen pictured above, gives you a smaller version of the default theme.
• Le Breeze – tiny and not distracting in the least, it will help you keep your attention the web page you are viewing and not the browser your using.
  
• Nautipolis – not on any of my real top 10 lists (sorry gnome guys), it is small but kinda ugly to boot.
  
• Microfirefox – another slightly ugly, yet functional tiny them.
  
• Littlefox – looks like a clone of Nautipolis, where’s the difference?

Know of a great looking (and small) theme I might have missed? Please let me know about it. I like the idea of having a smaller Firefox interface to look at – I just have yet to really find the theme that pulls it all together for me.

Sometimes keeping things a little more compact means that you have more room for the more important things.

A very compact version of Firefox’s default theme, which minimizes vertical space consumed by menu, tool, tab, find and status bars as much as possible without hurting overall appearance.

Do they really want me to read that tiny stuff? I guess not since they made it so darn little. The Text Size Toolbar extension takes care of this problem. It gives you quick and easy access to making your fonts bigger or smaller.
