Looking for a tool that will help you find and edit all the little hidden Firefox advanced configurations? Configuration Mania is a powerful addon for both Firefox 2 and the Firefox 3 Beta 4 that does a lot for being such a little addition to the browser. I am really impressed by this little jewel of an extension because it has just about every hidden away and forgotten about edit and modification you an make the browsing experience all in one place.
Want the super tweaker that does a bit of everything? Configuration Mania is the extension for the job.

Sitting at the keyboard for hours on end, it is really easy to get off task, get distracted and get to where you forget to check what time it is and what time you started. Thankfully the TimeTracker extension for Firefox helps you keep track of how much time you browse.
Some of the features of this awesome addition to any Firefox install include:
- Tracks browsing time across sessions
- Pauses automatically when you stop browsing
- Reset counter
- Pause toggle per window
- List ‘work’ sites that should not count
- Tooltip showing total time today, since last reset and since installing.
TimeTracker is a great way to keep tabs (not the browser kind) on yourself and the time you are spending Online. For those of us who spend our days working within the Firefox interface it also is a helpful reminder to tell us we have worked enough and we might deserve a break.

I’m back to using FireShot. This extension that allows you to take screenshots of what is inside your browser window enticed me to no end when it first came out - but with it’s lack of features I had to let it go. Here is a little more about the extension just in case you missed it the first time around…
What is FireShot and Why Do I Need It?
FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screenshots of web pages. Unlike other extensions, this plugin provides a set of editing and annotation tools, which let users quickly modify captures and insert text and graphical annotations. Such functionality will be especially useful for web designers, testers and content reviewers.

Some of these newest features include:
- Screenshot can be uploaded to server for resizing, commenting and blogging.
- Added Undo/Redo feature
- Added “Resume editing” option
- Line width can be specified
- Improved page extents detection mechanism (now supports GMail, E-Bay and other frame-based sites)
- Improved memory management routines and error handling messages.
- Added MS Outlook support
- Working folder can be set up and periodically erased.
As you can see there is even more to love here. More now than ever before! Give the FireShot extension another shot. It is the perfect compainion for anybody who works with screen grabs a lot.

Who doesn’t like Facebook? I’ve got a profile there and I am sure you do too. While looking for ways to make my facebooking just a little ‘bit better I ran into these user styles created to work with the Stylish Firefox extension.
De-MySpacify - Tired of all the user applications on Facebook? Say goodbye to them with this user style. The name of this tweak does speak volumes to some.
Facebook Green - Yes, everything you can expect is delivered here. All the same Facebook goodness except everything has a green tint to it. Great for St Patrick’s Day.
Mini Facebook - This makes the font on the iPhone version of Facebook smaller so that it will work well in an iframe widget on iGoogle.
deviantART Skin for Facebook - deviantART has a pretty slick style - and now you can bring that same style to your Facebook page.
Facebook Always Expand Applications - Get rid of the toggle feature on the applications sidebar, allowing all apps to be visible at all times.
Now you should have no problems with saying you have the most stylish looking Facebook page around.

Who doesn’t want to have a map in their Firefox sidebar?
Ok, sure maybe I had never thought about doing that either, but for the mobile person I could see where this might be handy. While checking up on the latest CyberNet News I found this neat extension - Mini Map Sidebar.
Here is a little more about the extension from the developers.
This extension comes with two mapping components, the main and most powerful one being a minimap sidebar. In this sidebar you can drag and drop addresses or locations you find on web pages and they will be automatically located, and added to your saved address list. The sidebar is launched from the toolbar icon (customize toolbar and drag in), a statusbar icon and the view sidebar menu.
It is a map, it lives in the sidebar… what else is there to say?

Some of the new tools and services out there with the social kink in them have yet to really impress me. One of the few that does the job though and does it well is Me.dium. This service, along side the Firefox extension that comes with it is something I think everybody should try out.
The neat thing about Me.dium is it opens up an entire new world that many might not see behind the web site your visiting. Talking with others that might be on the same web page you are on is a neat experience. Also they give you recommendations of other web pages you should visit based on the one you are at right now too.
Browse with friends or make new ones, the possibilities for the future of this application are endless.
If you get tired of it or you don’t want to use it all the time, just click the browser icon to turn it on and off. The tool lives in your sidebar, so you don’t have to worry about messing up the layout or visual of the current web site you are on either.
There is a world behind each web site you visit, so get to exploring!
