Best of Firefox Facts in 2009!

All in all, 2009 was a great year for Firefox.  It grew by leaps and bounds, and continues to be the best alternative browser out there.  Firefox Facts did pretty well in it’s own right too – surpassing the 7,000+ RSS subscriber mark.  So with today being the last day of 2009, let us all sit back and revisit some of the best posts of the year.

Here are 10 of the most read stories, tips, tutorials and reviews I have posted here in 2009.  Hope you check out some classics you might have missed, or revisit a favorite post or two.

Why Should I Switch To Firefox?

This is the type of question you might ask yourself before moving over to what I would consider a better browser. Sure Opera, Internet Explorer and others might have their good sides and bad sides. I just feel like Firefox beats every other browser hands down.

Extensions That Will Save You Cash

Hey we all like to pinch pennies every once in a while, right?

For those of you out there who are still using Internet Explorer, there is another option that won’t open your computer to all sorts of security holes. It has hundreds of add-ons, which can be downloaded from here. But which are the best ‘web 2.0′ add-ons for Firefox?

Top 10 Extensions for Tabbed Browsing

Yeah, another top 10 list. Pretty soon we will have a top 10 list of the best top 10 lists. This one I found pretty interesting though, because it had a few extensions even I haven’t gotten around to playing with yet.

Last week we covered 10 Firefox extensions that would keep your information private and make your browsing experience as safe as possible. Going beyond the security we need to also think about what cool (and sometimes productive) extensions we can install that will make Firefox even better. Let’s target tab browsing this time…

Security and Privacy Firefox Extensions

The folks over at CyberNotes have put together a list of some of the top Firefox security and privacy extensions you can get. If you are overly paranoid, I would say get them all. Getting all of them would probably also mean that you must wash your hands 523 times a day too. Some of these are good, some of them are great and some of them you can probably live without.
