Yeah how would you like to be able to whip that out at your local mall? You’d have them gazing in awe of the awesomeness that if Firefox. Either that or they’d just say, “what’s that, your dog?”. Either way - you make a good impression.
The same kind of impression all these links left of me.

Just call this stupid browser tricks Monday! Ever felt that need to turn your favorite photo you have on the Web into some ascii art?
With this Firefox extension from Photo2Text.com now you can. Now I am not going to pretend that anybody has a good reason to do this. There isn’t one darn good reason you can think of either - go ahead and try. Time to geek out, relax and transform your photos into a load of interesting characters.

Since the release of Firefox 2, I have not used the session restore that is built into Firefox that much. In fact, I had nearly forgotten about it till I read this post over at Kyle’s Cove talking about how to get it setup.
There are some new features in Firefox 2.0 that haven’t received much mention yet. One of these is the new session restore feature. In the past, people have used Google Browser Sync or Tab Mix Plus to restore their Firefox tabs. Now, Firefox 2.0 allows you to do this without an extension (which I always find to be a good thing, as to many extensions can slow down your browser). Here is how to do it.

The new Firefox 2 tips are already starting to roll out. I found six of them listed over at ZDNet that I didn’t know about. If I didn’t know about them, you might have not either.
Here are a few simple tips I’ve found helpful to improve the tabbed browsing experience in Firefox 2. These have been tested in the RC2 version on Windows. Ctrl+W closes the tab you are looking at right now.

I love to see Firefox extensions that really add neat and cool features that I might have not thought of before. The MileWideBack extension makes the left side of your Firefox window a really big “go back” button. All you need to do is click on the left border of the window, and you are back to where you were before.

Now I don’t know why you would want to do it, but it is possible.
We all know someone that is just a little too comfortable with that blue āeā but maybe there is something we can do about it. People love to use themes for Firefox and you will be able to use them to make it look like an entirely different browser. You can tell from the screenshots just how realistic it looks in both the Luna theme and the Classic Windows theme. I know plenty of people that would not be able to tell a difference.
Maybe this is the way you trick those family members that are scared of Firefox into using the better browser?
