Filed under the “whoops! sorry about that!” department of PR over at Yahoo (then again, they haven’t changed it yet either). It appears when you go to Yahoo.com via Internet Explorer 7, you are given a message to upgrade to Firefox 3. How nice of them…

How many of the extensions you use are ready for Firefox 3? There is a lot of buzz going around about the Mozilla folks saying that Firefox 1.5 will only be maintained with security and stability updates until April 24, 2007.
I say this is good news!
Sure, the people holding out on Firefox 2 are going to be given a kick in the pants to upgrade, but having to support several older versions of a program can’t be easy for such a developing and always changing product like a [...]
Have you upgraded to Firefox 2 yet? Some people have contacted me asking how they get the “new tab” button back after they make the leap to the newer version. I have not found a hack to do it, but I have found an extension. The New Tab Button on Tab Bar extension gives you back that little button you know and love from Firefox 1.5.
