Now I do not plug my other projects very often, however I think this is an important enough update to share with the rest of my fans (even my wonderful Firefox Facts subscribers)!  I just finished up with a brand new redesign of my layout over at Mitchelaneous.com – and I would love your feedback on it.

What is Mitchelaneous?  It is my personal blog, with tutorials helping with tech tips, web development and geeky entertainment.  Pretty much everything else I want to post about is posted here, that does not fit under the web hosting category of WebHostingShow.com and the Mozilla category or FirefoxFacts.com.

DashBlog has high hopes to save the day for you and many other wanting the task of sharing things with friends a lot easier.

This extension lets you quickly gather and post videos, images, text/quotes, songs and screen-captures from any web page and publish them to your blog.  Right now they have support built in for Twitter, WordPress, Tumbler and Blogger.  The promise here is to give you “the fastest and easiest way for you post video, text, quotes, images and songs to your blog”.

Which blogging scripts and services are supported?

Blogger, Drupal, LiveJournal, Movable Type, Radio Userland, TextPattern, TypePad, WordPress, journalspace, b2evolution and BLOG:CMS and more!

If you want the latest and greatest version, pick it up from the add-on’s official web site. You can also find the latest “Mozilla tested, mother approved” version on Mozilla’s own add-on site.

Some folks out there have e-mailed me and asked for an easier way to post to it. Well, after doing some searching I ran across an extension that will let you blog from your sidebar in Firefox.

The WordPress.com Sidebar extension puts a button in your browser that allows you to click it and open up an editor on the sidebar where you can get your posting done.

The OneClick Installer for WordPress extension for Firefox hopes to change that for me. A very unique idea indeed – this extension promises to give you that “one click” install process for any WordPress theme or plugin out there.

This makes the job of customizing your WordPress install just a little easier for folks that don’t want to dive into the HTML editors and FTP clients to get things done. To learn more about it, you can check out the author’s post on it – or check it out for yourself at the Mozilla addons web site.
