Firefox Universal Uploader

When it comes to using some of the Online hosting systems out there, sometimes the Web interface just does not cut the case. The Firefox Universal Uploader extension hopes to change that though by giving you a much better interface to work with.

Upload Your Files

Here is a little more information about the extension:

As the name says, this firefox extension allows you to upload/download files from any website using a friendly interface. Upload files/photos/videos to Flickr, Picasa, Youtube, Box.net(1GB of free space), Facebook, Webshots and OmniDrive in this version. Next versions would support other websites like Google Videos etc. You can add multiple files to the queue at a time. Extension will take care of uploading them for you.

I think the services themselves should be releasing tools like this. I don’t think that will happen though – so until monkeys fly out of a hole somewhere on me – this will have to do.

Best of the Links – Firefox Edition

Firefox Bank CardYeah how would you like to be able to whip that out at your local mall? You’d have them gazing in awe of the awesomeness that if Firefox. Either that or they’d just say, “what’s that, your dog?”. Either way – you make a good impression.

The same kind of impression all these links left of me.

Mozilla Growing Pains and Other Helpful Links

Firefox Growing PainsLooks like the big Firefox story of the day is that they are suffering from growing pains?

I really hope that now Firefox has a decent market size that everybody doesn’t start to turn on them for the next “new great hope”. Then again, that’s how much of the media works and part of the reason for Firefox’s rise in the first place. Ah well, enjoy the links.

If you have any more interesting ones be sure to send them my way.

DownloadHelper – Download Flash Videos

VideoDownloaderSo this might not be the first tool, the only tool, or the best tool – but it is another tool when it comes to saving video from the Web. Out of all the video downloading tools I have seen this one might have the best interface of them all.

As you can see, it gives you a button on your toolbar to click on and get direct access to downloading. This is something I have wanted to see for a long time. It also works with YouTube, MySpace, Google videos, DailyMotion, Porkolt, iFilm and others.
